Phillip Schofield’s struggles are taking a toll on Holly – she’s tense and uncomfortable, says body language expert

PHILLIP Schofield’s personal struggles are “taking their toll” on Holly Willoughby, a body language expert has claimed.

This Morning hosts Phil and Holly awkwardly appeared on our screens for the second day in a row today after they were earlier pictured with their heads down on route to the ITV studios.

The presenting duo have put on a united front amid their huge fallout, but a body language expert firmly believes Holly, 42, is “stressed.”

She said: “It would appear that Phil is having some personal struggles, Holly is taking on some of his tension, and this is taking its toll on the friendship.

“If Holly’s feeling stressed, she’s trying not to show it. Her lips are a little tense as she speaks, so the atmosphere in the studio may be less comfortable than usual – and her arms are cradled in front of her, creating a wall of protection, to make her feel more secure.”

Body language expert Inbaal Honigman also shared that Phil’s body language shows he is “trying not to give anything away.”

“He is seen covering his mouth with his finger while interviewing Nick Ferrari. His shoulders are hunched and back leaning forward, his hands clutched together- all signs of anxiety.

“He keeps his head still, which shows that he’s trying to give nothing away,” the expert continued.

This comes amid a growing feud between the show’s two iconic hosts, Phil and Holly.

In a MailOnline column, it was revealed “at least two A-list This Morning regulars” have “made it clear to bosses that they will not return to the show while Phillip remains in his job”.

A star told the publication: “It is absolutely disgusting that ITV takes the moral high ground over lots of issues, but then continues to give their major daily presenting slot to Phillip, despite the tonne of complaints that have been made against him.

“Lots of us have now told our agents that we will not be appearing on This Morning while he is still there.”

Fans have taken to social media to slam today’s edition of This Morning as Holly and Phil’s feud rumbles on.

One Twitter user wrote: “Painful to watch Phil and Holly. Chemistry is clearly shot – they need a break from each other.”
