PIERS Morgan has reignited his feud with ITV – mocking its female presenters dressing in pink for International Women’s Day snap.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 56, wasted no time in pointing out the gender stereotype by dressing in pink.
Sharing the snap of his ex-colleagues – including Susanna Reid and Holly Willoughby – Piers wrote: “As we approach #internationalwomensday, great to see ITV’s female talent all dressing up in pink and proudly identifying as women.
“Of course, had I suggested they do this, the wokies would have branded me a sexist gender-stereotype-promoting transphobic patronising monster…”
A photo shared to Instagram showed all of the current Loose Women, as well as from This Morning.
Alison Hammond, Josie Gibson and Rochelle Humes and Good Morning Britain hosts Kate Garraway, Ranvir Singh and Charlotte Hawkins were also present. Fans quickly spotted that Stacey Solomon was missing from the photo.
A Loose Women representative told The Celeb Report: “Stacey was still on maternity leave when the shoot took place.”
The caption alongside the photo said: “After almost two years apart, the female hosts of Daytime are coming together to celebrate International Women’s Day!
.”
We recently revealed Piers has taken revenge on ITV by pinching their brightest behind the scenes talent.
The ex-Good Morning Britain host, 56, has hired six key production staff from the channel including Erron Gordon – his former director on GMB – to operate his upcoming new primetime show on TalkTV.
The broadcaster quit ITV last March after a furious on-air row with weatherman Alex Beresford over his views towards Meghan Markle.
After taking an extended break from the limelight, sought after Piers signed for NewsCorp’s brand new channel.
Joining him for the new venture are Loose Women director Ollie Gardner, who is TalkTV’s deputy head of studio output, and GMB assistant editor Ben Briscoe, who is series editor of News UK’s TV content.
Vivek Sharma, an eight-year ITV Daytime veteran, will be TalkTV’s executive producer, This Morning floor manager Tim Carr has also made the move, as has producer Lindsey Bowers.
Last week Piers treated fans to a first look inside his state-of-the-art new TalkTV studio ahead of his telly return.
He is chomping at the bit to get back on air where he’ll express strong opinions and hold robust debates.
Sharing a picture of the in-progress studio on Instagram, he wrote: “BREAKING: First (very early) glimpse of my spanking new work home.
“If you judge a man by the size of his studio then I’ll be MASSIVE when my new global daily prime-time TV show launches in a few weeks. ps relax, those aren’t actually dance-floor lights…
.”
Piers’s return to NewsCorp and The Celeb Report has already got off to a strong start with a series of blistering columns.
He’s not minced his words in scathing pieces about the Prime Minister, Prince Harry and Adele following her Las Vegas residency cancellation at the 11th hour.
