Piers Morgan reveals Alex Beresford is the ONLY GMB co-star who hasn’t contacted him since he quit

PIERS Morgan revealed Alex Beresford is the only Good Morning Britain presenter not to message him since he quit the show.

The pair clashed on air the same day before Piers walked away as tensions boiled over in light of Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Piers Morgan said he hasn’t spoken to Alex Beresford since he quit the show

Weatherman Alex criticised Piers for his relentless negative comments about Meghan and claimed it was because she ghosted him years earlier.

It prompted Piers to storm out of the studio live on air, and he quit later the same day.

Writing in the Mail on Sunday, Piers said: “I’ve had nice messages from all the other GMB presenters, apart from Alex Beresford, and many of the wonderful production team, from camera operators and producers to make-up artists.

“Some really moved me.”

Piers said all his other GMB co-star have messaged him

He then shared a message from the show’s resident doctor, Hilary Jones.

It read: “Gutted to hear this news. You hold politicians to account like no one else can.

“You support the underprivileged people with no voice. You are generous, hugely well researched and funny.

“My respect for you has grown exponentially this year and I shall miss you my friend.

“The country actually needs you even if some people don’t know it. We’ve lost our General and you are sadly missed already.”

Piers had a heart to heart with Susanna Reid on the phone

Earlier in the column Piers appeared to take a dig at Alex, referring to him only as ‘GMB’s occasional stand in weatherman’.

He explained that he was furious a member of his own team had called him out on air and noted he had “gone out of his way” in the past to give Alex career advice.

During their televised spat, Alex said: “This is pathetic. Absolutely diabolical behaviour.

“I’m sorry but Piers spouts off on a regular basis and we all have to sit here and listen. From 6.30 to 7am yesterday, it was incredibly hard to watch.

“He has the ability to come in here and talk from a position that he doesn’t fully understand…”

On reflection, Piers said he regretted leaving the studio and had only done so to prevent him saying something he shouldn’t.
