PIERS Morgan has revealed that women are swooning over him after he showed off an unshaven new look.
The 55-year-old star made his Good Morning Britain return earlier today, and admitted that he gave up on shaving during his “boring” half-term break.
Although the presenter did reunite with his razer before today’s instalment of the ITV show, last night he drove female followers wild when he shared a “rugged” selfie to his Instagram page.
Appearing clean-shaven this morning, Piers told co-host Susanna Reid: “That was the most boring half term I’ve ever spent in my entire life. I literally didn’t do anything, that was it.”
Susanna replied: “You didn’t even shave, I noticed – you posted a picture yesterday on Instagram.”
As the snap appeared on-screen, her co-host laughed: “This was me emerging blinking and unshaven back into the real world after 10 days of lockdown incarceration.
“It actually played really well on Instagram. I got a lot of women rather drawn to the rugged look.
“Maybe I should have kept it, maybe I should just come on unshaven and with those glasses and just go: ‘Yo, Britain’.”
Last week, Piers and Susanna were left chuffed to bits when The Celeb Report readers voted them the hottest male and female newsreaders in Britain.
Referencing the poll, Susanna said: “That picture of you on Instagram must be the reason you won the hottest male newsreader on television.”
Proud Piers gushed: “I love that, the poll came out of nowhere.
“Thank you Sun readers for your discerning, intelligent voting.”
Piers wore sunglasses for the moody selfie yesterday, which saw him snarling at the camera with impressive stubble and messy hair.
He captioned the snap at the time: “It’s been a long ten days… but it didn’t break me.
“See you on @gmb tomorrow morning. #LockdownHalfTerm”.
One fan commented: “My guilty pleasure”.
Another gushed: “Keep the beard!”
One more echoed: “You are looking good there.. missed you last week.”
Piers spent half-term with his wife Celia Walden and youngest child, nine-year-old Elise.
He also reunited for a socially-distanced walk with oldest child Spencer, 27, with the pair forced to go to the police after being sent vile death threats by sick trolls.
