Piers Morgan slams Ant & Dec for ‘humiliating’ I’m A Celeb job offer after GMB exit as he compares show to ‘prison camp’

FORMER Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan has slammed Ant and Dec’s I’m A Celeb job offer- claiming it would be “humiliating”.

Piers, 56, has rejected the cheeky stars’ suggestion that he should sign up to the ITV show after quitting Good Morning Britain back in March.

But Piers was disgusted by the thought of partaking in the reality show and said it would be “hellish” and like a “jungle prison.”

He also added that he doesn’t want his fate to be at the hands of the British public.

In his latest Daily Mail column, he wrote: “‘Well, he’s not working at the moment, so he’ll be looking for a job,’ scoffed Ant, as Dec cackled like a slathering hyena at the thought of luring me into their hellish jungle prison camp.

“Let me make one thing crystal clear: there’s no way I’m ever exposing myself to a series of ghastly gastronomic humiliations for the delectation of the British public. When I munch kangaroo testicles, I do so in the privacy of my home.”

But Piers refuses to be humiliated on national TV

The journalist said no amount of money could tempt him – but last year, he informed fans on Twitter that it would take £10million for him to be part of the show.

And this week, Lorraine Kelly prompted Ant and Dec to try and get Piers to agree to be on the ITV show.

She told the double act: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will be looming very very soon and of course all the rumours are just starting.

“You have always said you guys want Piers Morgan to go in there. Is that still the case?”

Ant replied: “He’s not working at the moment, so you know, he’ll be looking for a job.”

Lorraine commented: “He’s got a bit of time on his hands, who knows.”

The presenters were still not sure whether the next series of I’m A Celebrity will be back in the Australian jungle after being relocated to Wales last year – but they both hope that it will.

ITV bosses have told production staff to work towards returning to Australia this autumn after Covid lockdown threw the 2020 series into chaos.
