Piers Morgan slams ‘shamelessly deluded and whiny’ Johnny Depp and Amber Heard as former couple launch new court battle

PIERS Morgan has slammed the “shamelessly deluded and whiny” Johnny Depp and Amber Heard as the former couple launch their latest court battle.

The actor, 58, filed a lawsuit against his ex wife in 2019 after she called herself a domestic violence survivor in an article that she had written for the Washington Post.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star says that her allegedly fake claims of abuse ruined his career and was designed to boost hers.

The multimillion-dollar US libel trial started on 11 April at the Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia – and is said to last up to two weeks.

But one person who has made it very clear he’s not interested in what happens is Piers, 57.

Piers wrote in his latest New York post column: “I can honestly say that the number of f–ks I give about this shamelessly deluded and self-obsessed pair of whiny wastrels could be written on the back of Mycoplasma genitalium, the planet’s smallest living organism and, appropriately, a parasitic bacterium that lives in our waste disposal organs.”

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star is suing the actress for £38million and she has countersued him for £76million over claims his lawyer made about her.

Piers certainly didn’t hold back with his opinion on the case.

The former Good Morning Britain star thinks there are other things we should be worried about – including the current war, Covid and inflation.

Piers added: “Now they’re both playing the victim at a time when there are millions of real victims suffering from war, a killer virus, and crippling rises in the cost of living.

“They want us to reach into our hearts and feel sorry for two stinking rich, breathtakingly spoiled actors when mothers and babies are being bombed in maternity hospitals, refugees are being murdered by Russian rockets deliberately fired at them, and Holocaust survivors are being incinerated in their homes.

“They want us to pity them as the US death toll from COVID-19 approaches 1 million people, as lines at American food banks reach record levels, and as New Yorkers are being attacked on their commute by deranged lunatics with guns and smoke grenades.”

Piers concluded: “I can’t think of anyone less deserving of my sympathy than this gruesome twosome trapped in their own pathetically delusional, horribly selfish, toddler-tantrum world.

“‘I feel so sorry for Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.’

“Said absolutely nobody.”

So far Amber’s lawyers have claimed that Johnny penetrated his ex with an alcohol bottle after taking her hostage for three days.

The jury were also told that he punched and kicked the actress after dragging her across the floor.

It has also been revealed that Johnny was a painkiller addict whose doctor thought he had anger issues.

Most recently the court was told that the actor sent a message hoping that Amber’s “rotting corpse was decomposing in the trunk” of a car.

The trial continues.
