PIERS Morgan took a savage fresh swipe at Alex Beresford as he wished his ex Good Morning Britain co-star Laura Tobin a happy birthday today.
The 56-year-old star couldn’t resist making a cheeky jibe as he marked her milestone age with a stunning photo.
Sharing a snap of Laura wearing a pair of tight red trousers in her GMB dressing room, Piers wrote: “Happy 40th Birthday to the fabulous @Lauratobin1 – brilliant meteorologist, possessor of 
leather trousers (no apologies to any wokies offended) and thoroughly decent & loyal (ex) colleague.”
He then quipped: “My kinda weather presenter. 
”
This is an apparent dig at one of the ITV breakfast show’s other weather presenters Alex, who Piers famously locked horns with back in March.
The TV favourite sensationally stormed off set when they argued over Meghan Markle, and later quit the programme all together.
He and Alex have remained on frosty terms ever since, with he the only GMB star not to reach out to Piers following his exit.
Meanwhile, Laura shocked fans as she revealed that she’d turned 40 – posing in a slinky black dress as she shared an insight into her birthday party.
Her followers could not believe that the youthful looking beauty is the milestone age, claiming she could easily pass for 10 years younger.
Posting on Instagram, the TV meteorologist posed in front of a giant light-up 40, also holding up balloons in one snap alongside her twin brother.
She dazzled in the chic minidress with a ruffle hem and off-the-shoulder sleeves, her curled brown hair tied into a high ponytail.
She captioned the post: “This is 40! An actual party-My first one since before the pandemic and it was mine!
“I had soooo much fun, friends, fizz and food-Plus lots of dancing-it was great to dance again!”
Kate Garraway also referenced Laura’s age-defying looks as she paid sweet tribute on social media, sharing a snap of Laura in the GMB studios posing with a birthday cake.

Laura joined Daybreak as the weather presenter in 2012, and stayed on when the ITV breakfast show was replaced with Good Morning Britain in 2014.
She married husband Dean Brown in August 2010, and the pair share four-year-old daughter Charlotte.
