PIERS Morgan has teased he’s set for a “fascinating encounter” with Labour leader Keir Starmer on Life Stories.
The former Good Morning Britain host is clearly looking forward to grilling a Member of Parliament again as The Celeb Report reported last night.
“BREAKING: Labour leader Sir @keirstarmer has agreed to appear on my Life Stories show,” Piers posted on Instagram this morning.
“We’re doing the interview next week, and it will air soon afterwards.
“Party leaders rarely submit themselves to such lengthy personal interviews so it should be a fascinating encounter.”
Piers has been joined by six celebrities this series from The Only Way is Essex star Gemma Collins down to former boxer Chris Eubank.
Last time round, Piers interviewed Captain Sir Tom Moore before his tragic passing and former footballer Vinnie Jones.
Piers’ latest interviewee is the Labour chief who suffered a local elections bloodbath then a bitter party civil war.
Sir Keir, labelled “boring” and “lacking in pizazz”, will seek to revive his image on Morgan’s show.
ITV promised he will lift the lid on his childhood, life as a barrister and tumultuous time in Westminster.
Morgan said the interview, to be filmed next month, should be “memorable and very revealing”.
It comes as Labour big gun David Miliband warned the party could be wiped out if it failed to face up to its disastrous Hartlepool by-election loss.
He told Times Radio: “We have no divine right to exist. We have no divine right to people’s votes.
“And if we don’t speak to their lives in a way that is powerful and credible and forward looking they’re going to tell us that they’re not voting for us.”
