A POPULAR E4 reality series will not be returning to screens despite a star-studded line-up and two top celebrity hosts.
The Real Dirty Dancing, based on the film of the same name, has come to an end and will not be returning for a second series, The Celeb Report can exclusively reveal.

It featured a glittering cast of showbiz names
Anthea Turner and Arg turned up the heat on the show
Comedian Keith Lemon and Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts were the hosts of the programme which saw ten famous faces attempt to recreate the iconic dance moves from the top Hollywood blockbuster at a stunning lakeside location – just like in the film.
A source told The Celeb Report: “The Real Dirty Dancing has come to a natural end and won’t be returning on E4.
“Everyone involved in the show was super proud with how it turned out but it was only ever commissioned for a single series.
“Whilst it won’t be coming back, the team were all thoroughly impressed with the outcome of the show and thankful to the celebs who put their best foot forward to recreate the movie’s iconic dances.”
Amongst the starry line-up was legendary TV presenter Anthea Turner, Blue singer Lee Ryan, TOWIE star James Argent and Geordie Shore favourite Marnie Simpson.
They were joined by Gogglebox mainstay Tom Malone Jnr, YouTuber and Strictly star Saffron Barker, University Challenge icon Bobby Seagull and Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey.
Presenter Verona Rose and comedian Darren Harriott rounded out the glittery cast.
The celebs were put into pairs where they had to compete to recreate Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey’s moves the best.
Saffron and Lee ended up scooping the winner’s title after a stunning final performance.
The studio audience crowned them the winners over fan favourites Arg and Anthea.
Watching the final at home, one person ranted on Twitter at the time: “Nooo arg and anthea was robbed! That lift.”
Fans had been gripped by Arg’s chemistry with Anthea from the get-go.
They were in hysterics seeing Arg’s excitement over kissing and dirty dancing with the “only woman for him” Anthea in a steamy scene from the classic film.
Whilst viewers were also left in tears over Arg and Anthea’s powerful performance in the first week of the contest.
Winner Saffron formed connections on the show as she and co-star Bobby went on to team up to take part in Celebrity Hunted together whilst she also sparked romance rumours with Tom after the pair spent an increasing amount of time together after the show.
The popular show will not be making a comeback
