EX CORRIE star Catherine Tyldesley has revealed she feels like an “elephant” during the latter stages of her second pregnancy.
The former soap star, 38, is expecting her second child, a little girl, with husband Tom Pitfield, and revealed the happy news in October.
Now seven months on, she has taken to her Instagram page to showcase her blossoming baby bump while wearing a red triangle-top bikini.
Cath wrapped up from the spring-time chill with a pretty heart-print pink pyjama top and matching trousers.
One snap saw her giggling at the camera while another captured her gazing lovingly at her bump.
In her image caption, she referenced the drawn-out nature of her second pregnancy journey as she wrote: “Apparently an African bush elephant is pregnant for 22 months!

“I fear that my body may have me confused with an elephant!
“It feels like I’ve been pregnant since 1942… Cherishing pjs, a bump and copious amounts of pineapple while I can!”
One of the ITV star’s fans promptly wrote: “Oh babe! ! ! And wow 22 months.”
Another posted: “Looking gorgeous babe,” as a third commented: “It’s a beautiful bump though @auntiecath17.”
One then gushed: “Cath wow looking beautiful mummy to be… I am so excited!”
A fan then surmised: “You look absolutely beautiful.”
BABY JOY
When breaking her new baby news, Cath said she was “absolutely elated” to be pregnant with a baby girl – a sister for seven-year-old son Alfie.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, Catherine went on: “We feel so lucky. When we found out, I just burst into tears…
“Tom was in bits when we found out we are having a little girl. He has suddenly gone all mushy. I’m sure she will have him wrapped around her little finger.”
The star went on to admit that she was “convinced” her body was “mimicking pregnancy” when she first started to experience symptoms as she has struggled with a hormonal balance that caused similar effects in the past.
She told the publication: “I took so many tests as I was convinced I wasn’t actually pregnant, but in fact my body was just mimicking a pregnancy. So this time, even when my stomach was a bit swollen, I just thought: ‘Oh hormonal imbalances again.'”
Catherine even thought she could actually be in the early stages of the menopause as she battled night sweats.

The former Coronation Street actress explained: “I was having terrible insomnia, which is still with me. I was so hot at night and unable to control my temperature. I started to panic that perhaps I was perimenopausal. I know I would have been a bit young, but it does happen.”
She was also battling hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme form of pregnancy sickness, which is thankfully under control with the help of medication.
