QUEEN Charlotte viewers have been left gobsmacked after realising the actor who plays Reynolds is the son of Hugh Dennis in real life.
Freddie Dennis appears in the prequel of the Netflix hit Bridgerton, following in his very famous father’s footsteps.

Hugh Dennis, 61, is well loved for his role as the dad, Peter Brockman, in the long-standing series Outnumbered, which aired from 2007 – 2016.
He is also known for his comedy and impressions, appearing in the likes of Spitting Image.
Freddie, 26, is Hugh’s son from his marriage to Kate Abbot-Anderson, with whom he also shares a daughger.
Following their split he started dating his Outnumbered co-star Claire Skinner.
Before Queen Charlotte, Freddie has only appeared in one show – The Nevers, but has spent time working as a model after graduating from The Oxford School of Drama.
Speaking about landing such a huge role, Freddie said: “I’ve become a fan [of Bridgerton] since I got this job, I would say, but I actually had not seen it prior to being offered this role.
“But now I am, yes, definitely. I still haven’t read the books though, please don’t tell [book author] Julia Quinn.”
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is a prequel to the Netflix regency romp, exploring how the royal first met the King, Lady Danbury and Violet Bridgerton.
The action flashes back and forth to see the three women as fans know them now as the Ton’s matriarchs, with younger actors called in to play them in their youth.
