Failure to report

A children's home run by reality TV star Ampika Pickston, known for her appearance on The Real Housewives of Cheshire, has come under fire from Ofsted for its handling of an alleged sex assault on a child who had gone missing. The home failed to report the incident to authorities and was criticized for its poor recording practices.

Inviting children to her mansion

Ofsted also criticized Pickston for inviting one of the children from the home back to her £3million mansion just three weeks after its opening. Although the child did not go, the watchdog deemed Pickston's actions as failing to adhere to "high standards of safeguarding practice."

Inadequate standards

The inspection by Ofsted, which took place last month, found the children's home to be "inadequate" due to serious and widespread failures in protecting the children and promoting their welfare. The report highlighted incidents of children going missing, meeting strangers via video messages, poorly managed bullying, and inadequate staffing.

Ampika's involvement

The inspection report revealed that there was no manager in place at the facility and that it was overseen by Pickston herself, who lacks the necessary skills and experience to operate a children's home in accordance with regulations. The report also mentioned incidents of staff falling asleep while in charge of children and allowing a child to vape.

Ampika Pickston, who is engaged to billionaire West Ham chairman David Sullivan, has been asked to comment on the findings.
