CHANGING Rooms star ‘Handy’ Andy Kane was known for his DIY prowess on the hit rennovation show.
Andy – who appeared on the show from 1996-2004 – was a key component in transforming the guests home.
The Cockney builder landed a role on the American version of the show, called Trading Spaces.
He also presented three shows for UK Style, Room Rival , Garden Rivals and Streetcombers.
He also bagged another big show, Increase Your House Price By Ten Gran, where worked with a team to a house’s value by £10,000 in just three days with a £1,000 budget.
Andy also appeared on I’m Famous And Frightened, Cirque de Celebrite and The Adam And Joe Show.
He has also hosted a number of BBC Primary Geography programmes since 2008.
He is happily married to his wife Geraldine and they have four children.
Changing Rooms has swapped the BBC for Channel 4 ahead of it’s return.
The cult show, which marks its 25th anniversary in September, saw neighbours take over each other’s homes alongside a professional designer and carry out makeovers with mixed results.
Naked Attraction’s Anna Richardson has taken the reins from original host Carol Smilie after Davina McCall bowed out of the reboot due to her role on The Masked Singer.
While designers like Anna Ryder Richardson and Linda Barker have been replaced by Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead – who grew up watching the show.
Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen – the sole survivor of the original programme – is singing the praises of new host Anna and revealed she’ll bring her Naked Attraction cheekiness to the show.
Speaking exclusively to The Celeb Report, he says: “What’s really nice with Anna is she has a sort of Peter Panishness, a puckishness, a naughtiness that she’s very much bringing to this.
“I think everyone who’s watched Naked Attraction knows she’s very clever with words, she’s very good at getting information out of people and that’s definitely something she’s using very well.”
