REAL Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Denise Richards was “blindsided” by the ruling that her ex-husband Charlie Sheen will pay her “ZERO dollars” a month in child support.
The former couple share daughters Sami, 17, and Lola, 16.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, a judge made the decision in Los Angeles County court Monday to adjust Charlie’s child support to “zero dollars per month” beginning from August 1, 2018.
A source close to Denise, 50, told the outlet that she was shocked by the judge’s decision.
The insider claimed: “Charlie filed two years ago and kept pushing the court date, so Denise was very surprised that it happened yesterday while she is out of town filming. She was blindsided.
“Now he’s manipulating the situation.”
‘HORRIBLE’
The source continued: “Lola does not live with Charlie. She lives with both of her parents and stays with Charlie when Denise is out of town. When Denise is back, Lola will be with her.
“This is very disappointing for Denise, but also not surprising. Charlie is pitting the girls against their mother, which is horrible.”
While the RHOBH alum did not attend the court hearing due to being out of town for work obligations, a source close to the situation told PEOPLE Denise “has known about the court date for six months.”
The ruling comes after Sami claimed in numerous TikTok videos that she moved out of her mom’s home in favor of living with Charlie, 56.
SAMI’S CLAIMS
According to Page Six, Sami previously complained about being “trapped” at her mother’s house as she said she “finally moved out of the hell house, had a spiritual awakening.”
A source told PEOPLE that Sami has been living with Charlie since July, while her move-in date was claimed to be April during the court hearing.
The insider concluded: “Denise loves Sami very much and Sami loves her. Denise is very saddened by the entire situation. She’s a mother who wants to protect her kids.
“They need structure and rules and Charlie is very permissive. Denise just wants the best for them.”
FAMILY MATTERS
The Bravo alum and Two and a Half Men star were married from 2002-2006.
In addition to her two kids with Charlie, Denise is also the mother to daughter Eloise Joni, 10.
Meanwhile, Charlie has three other children from other relationships: Cassandra, 36, and 12-year-old twin sons.
The RHOBH star has been married to Aaron Phypers, 49, since 2018.
