REAL Housewives of Beverly Hills fans slammed Erika Jayne for playing the “sad wife role” and “lying” that she never knew about ex-husband Tom Girardi’s embezzling.
The Bravo star has consistently denied claims that she knew what her ex was up to regarding his business deals.
During Wednesday’s episode of RHOBH, Erika opened up about her divorce from Tom, 82, and admitted she was “hurt” when he didn’t support her run in the Broadway Show Chicago.
As she continued to slam Tom throughout the episode, fans took to Twitter to criticize the 49-year-old for seemingly “lying” she didn’t know what Tom was up to.
One RHOBH fan wrote: “Someone give Erika Jayne an Oscar for her outstanding role on ‘From Lambo To Range Rover: The Heroic Tale of a Sad Rich Wife Left In The Dark.’ Girl sit down with your theatrics and lies.”
Another added: “Erika’s sudden openness about her life and painting tom as a mean man would be more convincing … if her entire defense wasn’t that she knew nothing about tom’s embezzling (even if her companies were funneled copious amounts of money).”
A third chimed in: “Also….whether Erika knew anything or not….its been PROVEN that her husband stole LOTS of money. Lots of money SHE HAS SPENT. If she had a soul she’d co-operate and try to make things right vs flashing this stolen lifestyle.”
Others agreed, as an additional viewer wrote: “It’s so hard watching this season because I used to be such a huuuuge Erika fan and now I find it hard to believe a single word that comes out of her mouth. Smh you think you know a person.”
Alongside a gift of Lisa Rinna calling someone a “sick woman,” another fan wrote: “I don’t feel bad for Erika. She sat in on meetings, was listed as a secretary, funneled $20 mil into her business, her landlords are Tom’s friends & then had the audacity to mock the victims & give us some sob story he was ‘mean’ to her. She’s cold and calculated.”
The same person added in a following tweet: “I should also add I do believe he was awful but he wanted a trophy wife and she wanted a sugar daddy. It was a marriage of convenience and she didn’t dip until he started to fall.”
An additional fan said: “Erika is a horrible actress. She’s not playing the hurt wife well. She’s playing I’m annoyed, hardened and unaffected.”
Others insisted Erika should be arrested for her involvement, as one person wrote: “Erika is acting the house down! if she doesnt go to prison, she deserves to be back on broadway.”
Back in November, Erika shocked fans when she filed for divorce from former super lawyer, Tom, 82, after 21 years together.
Following the divorce filing, he began getting hit with lawsuit after lawsuit for fraud, embezzlement and contract breach.
Erika became involved when it was claimed that they upheld their luxurious lifestyle with the money he had allegedly stolen from his clients.
Although she has denied ever knowing what Tom was up to – reports claim that he used $20MILLION of the money to also fund her entertainment career.
During last week’s episode of RHOBH, Erika broke her silence on her legal and marital woes.
While sitting down with her costars, Erika immediately began complaining about the drastic shift in her life that specifically pertained to material items.
She told the ladies: “My life drastically changes this week. I let go of my Lamborghini I let go of my 16,000 square foot home.”
As tears began to swell in her eyes, she said: “Is it great to wear this jacket and live in this house and drive a Lambo? Yes but at what human cost?”
