RHONJ’s Melissa Gorga was “shocked” and “terrified” as she was informed husband Joe was rushed to the hospital in immense “pain.”
The Bravo star was getting ready to go on a group date to a winery with the other Housewives when she ditched her pals to be by Joe Gorga’s side.
The women are seated for a brunch at Jackie’s house ahead of going to a local winery for a day outing.
Melissa, 42, then received a text from their son, Gino, who revealed his dad was in “excruciating pain” on the floor of their home.
A terrified Melissa then called her husband, who told her: “I fell to the floor, I’m in so much pain. I’m about to go to the hospital.”
She is in shock as he is heard making painful sound effects from the floor.
The concerned RHONJ star kept repeating “are you kidding me?”
When asked what he thinks it could be, Joe says: “probably a stone, like a kidney stone. I’m trying to s**t on the f**king toilet.”
Melissa yelled at her husband that it doesn’t work, and he needs to call an ambulance.
“Yeah, I’m going to go to the hospital, don’t worry I’ll be fine,” he assured.
However, she was not buying it and shouted back before she left: “I am not going to a winery when you’re at the hospital goodbye! Be there soon.”
His sister, Teresa Giudice, 48, watched concerned and admitted she wanted to leave as well, but allowed Melissa to handle the situation.
Later in the episode, Joe confirmed he did in fact have kidney stones.
“I don’t wish that on my worst enemy. That was terrible. I’ll never stop drinking water again,” he said as he was recovery.
On last week’s episode of the show, Joe and Melissa fought over her “success.”
Reflecting on the status of their relationship, Joe, 41, said: “We used to just be so attached and I’m still like that. She’s just changed. You’ve turned into this different business woman.”
Melissa, 42, argued that having “success in my personal life” is nothing “against” him.
She continued in a confessional: “I’m not home as much as I used to be.
“I have to go to fashion week. I have to go to the trade shows. I have appearances, I have red carpets.
“If it were up to him, I would just cook and clean and I’ll be here at 4 with your dinner.”
While the episode was airing, fans took to Twitter during the episode to slam the couple’s storyline as “fake” and “rehearsed.”
One viewer wrote: “Oh, is this where the fake marital storyline starts between Joe and Melissa ?! SO FAKE !!!!”
Another fan added: “I can’t with the fake Melissa and Joe growing apart storyline.”
