RICHARD Madeley poked fun at wife Judy Finnigan’s epic wardrobe malfunction 21 years ago after watching singer Anne-Marie’s horror fall at the Brit Awards last night.
The evening included performances by Adele, KSI, and Anne Marie, who stumbled during her performance of Kiss My (Uh-Oh) in front of a 20,000-strong crowd.
Her voice shook mid tumble, but she quickly regained her composure and carried on.
And Richard tried to console her as he reminded Good Morning Britain viewers that wife Judy flashed her undies on live TV at the 2001 NTAs.
Turning to Susanna, who praised Anne-Marie for picking herself up and carrying on, he said: “At least she didn’t flash her bra!”
Susanna asked: “For all the younger viewers, can you explain?”
He replied: “Before we went to the awards, Judy said ‘I haven’t brought my matching bra. Oh well, no one is going to know’.
“We then won the award and went on stage but the clasp on her top popped open.”
Susanna quizzed him: “Do you think Judy is going to mind you bringing this back up on national television?”
“She’s written about it loads of times. She’s over it now,” he said.
“John Leslie came running up and closed her dress up.”
Re-living her blushes, Judy dubbed it the most embarrassing moment of her career.
She said in 2016: “I was mortified.
“I chucked (the bra) into the dustbin the very next day.”
She added in her autobiography: “I was wearing a halterneck evening dress and had a brand new matching black bra but it didn’t fit properly so I swapped it for a trusty old favourite, a lacy pale pink.
“‘Noone will ever know’ I said to Richard as we changed in our hotel room. They soon did of course.
“The black halterneck slid down to my waist, revealing my pink undies to the nation.”
