RICHARD Madeley warned “anything can happen” after Good Morning Britain’s hosts were left without scripts today.
A technical issue with the studio’s printer meant Richard and Susanna Reid had to improvise on the first show of the week.
Richard said: “It’s just like being at home, our printer is broken. We don’t have any scripts so anything could happen in the next half hour.”
Susanna added: “You think we could have invented by 2021, it was a printer that worked.
“But you’re absolutely right, I had a nightmare over the weekend with the printer I seem to have brought the problem into the studio. Sorry about that.”
Returning to the programme for a second week, Richard thanked viewers for their support on Saturday night.
He followed a Twitter post about Strictly Come Dancing with: “Oh, and BTW, talking about TV – thanks for all the generous/funny/positive comments about me on the GMB breakfast show last week.
“And for anyone who felt the opposite way… er… I’m back on it next week, too. I can only apologise… see you all on Monday!”
Earlier in the show Richard remembered late England legend Jimmy Greaves after he died yesterday.
He recalled his dad returning home with a signed photograph of the Spurs striker on which Jimmy had touchingly written that he was his best mate.
Jimmy’s former club Tottenham announced his passing, writing: “We are extremely saddened to learn of the passing of the great Jimmy Greaves.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to Jimmy’s family and friends at this sad time. Rest in peace, Jimmy.”
