Ricky Gervais' Modest Payday
Comedian Ricky Gervais witnessed a significant rise in fortunes as his production company, Derek Productions, soared to £8.4 million last year. Despite this, he only paid himself a dividend of £482, a stark contrast to the £3.85 million he took out the year before.
Financial Success Across Business Ventures
Alongside Derek Productions, Gervais's other businesses, including Red Lion 100, also experienced growth, now valued at £14.4 million. This contributed to his total wealth in UK companies reaching £30 million.
Tax Bill and Box Office Triumph
The surge in earnings led Derek Productions to face a corporation tax bill of nearly £1 million. Gervais also made headlines by smashing box office records with his Armageddon stand-up tour in 2023, pulling in £1.4 million in sales for a show at the Los Angeles Bowl.
Luxurious Living
Gervais and his partner Jane Fallon reside in an "ambassadorial" mansion since 2015, complete with three bathrooms, four reception rooms, and a summer house. Jane often shares glimpses of their lavish home, featuring a grand staircase, dark wood flooring, and ornate antique chairs.
