Robson & Jerome Could be Making a Comeback
Robson Green has dropped a hint that a surprise reunion with his famous pal could be in the works. The pair, known for their success as the duo Robson & Jerome in the mid-1990s, are considering a return to the spotlight.
After starring together in the hit series Soldier Soldier, Robson Green and Jerome Flynn landed a record deal and enjoyed a successful music career. Despite only performing cover versions, their rendition of Unchained Melody spent seven weeks at the top of the UK Singles Chart, ultimately becoming the best-selling hit of 1995.
In a recent interview with The Celeb Report’s TV Mag, Robson revealed that a reunion may be on the horizon. However, he clarified that it may not be what fans expect. While Robson has retired from singing, he has expressed hope that Jerome will make a guest appearance on his show Weekend Escapes. The two are reportedly "in touch" and Robson shared that Jerome sent him a picture of himself and Harrison Ford, hinting at a possible collaboration in the future.
Reflecting on their music career, Robson admitted that it is unlikely to be revived but mentioned that he still receives royalties from sales in Japan. In the past 15 years, Robson has transitioned into presenting, focusing on hidden corners of Britain and the history of rural areas. He has worked with ITV, Channel 5, and most recently, BBC Two for his show Weekend Escapes. Each episode features a different famous face joining Robson as they explore various areas along the Northern coast.
Guests on Weekend Escapes have included Denise Welch, Olly Smith, and Kevin Whately. Despite his shift in career, Robson's music continues to bring in income, providing a pleasant surprise for the former singing sensation.
