Could Ronnie drive a wedge within his own family?
Ronnie Bailey has been known for his cut-throat nature on the ITV soap and he could be driving a big wedge within his own family next week.
As mentioned above, the siblings make the decision to team up for a brand new business after recently working on a property project.
After showing him a property that would be ideal for their plans, Ronnie is stunned when Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) suggests that it’s a large job that wouldn’t show returns for several years.
Ronnie criticises his brother’s lack of ambition but takes things to a whole new level after his nephew Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) is attacked by returning villain Dean Turnbull (Anthony Crank).
The drug dealer returns to the cobbles next week to settle an old score with Cassandra Plummer.
As regular viewers of the Manchester-based drama will remember, Cassandra Plummer temporarily left Weatherfield to get sober after battling with drug addiction.
Following the assault, Michael tells Ronnie that this sort of thing happens to his mother Aggie all the time.
This prompts a flabbergasted Ronnie to use the information to get Ed to go in on the deal to allow the nurse to retire.
In later scenes, Ronnie tells Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) that he took her advice and bought the Newton & Ridley shares with the money from the Tavern Mews project.
Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) soon steps in and offers to help out with the admin and the accounts for their new business.
But while Ed is delighted by her offer, Ronnie secretly masks his panic.
Will his risk-taking pay off or will he be forced to come clean to his brother?
How will Ed react if he finds out about Ronnie’s actions?
