Ruth Langsford in shock return to This Morning – but Eamonn Holmes will be replaced by a new man

RUTH Langsford is making a big return to This Morning for the first time since husband Eamonn Holmes quit.

The pair, both 62, used to front the programme on Fridays until they were replaced by Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond.

They continued as stand-in hosts until Eamonn stood down after 15 years in November, joining GB News.

However, Ruth stayed with ITV, continuing to appear on another daytime hit, Loose Women.

But today it was revealed she will present on This Morning again for the first time in months – alongside Rylan Clark.

It fell to the former Celebrity Big Brother star and host to reveal the news when he appeared alongside Alison and Ruth today.

Rylan, 33, explained: “I am coming back for one week only, one week only with my lovely telly mum Ruth.

“Me and Ruthie are gonna do the show in the summer for a week. I can’t say no to Ruth can I?”

The star was appearing on the programme with his real-life mum Linda, who he stars alongside on Celebrity Gogglebox.

They will appear on tonight show, which is picking up from the civilian series, which wrapped up with a ‘best bits’ last week.

This Morning fans were delighted at the prospect of Ruth coming back with one writing: “Rylan and Ruth yes! And bring Linda on to do the phone ins!”

Another posted: “Yaaaassss @Rylan is hosting #ThisMorning for a week during the summer.”

Rylan has fronted the show before, appearing alongside Eamonn in a rare all-male line-up in 2019.
