RUTH Langsford has shared a health update after being forced to miss the National Television Awards (NTAs) due to a persistent chest infection and cough. The presenter, best known for her appearances on Loose Women, took to her Instagram Story to post a mirror selfie from the QVC studios, where she is also a presenter. She was seen wearing a nude jacket and jeans, accessorized with sunglasses and carrying multiple bags.
Back in action
Despite battling her illness and trying various remedies recommended by fans, Ruth was unable to attend the NTAs. Her Loose Women co-stars represented the show at the ceremony, where they were nominated for the Daytime award. However, they lost out to The Repair Shop. Ruth took to social media to thank everyone who had sent her homemade remedies and even shared a video of herself making one of the concoctions in her kitchen.
Time off work
Ruth, who has been a regular on Loose Women since 1999, also had to take time off from the show due to her illness. However, she was back at the QVC studios, ready to get back to work. She shared mirror selfies with her hair stylist and make-up artist, indicating that she was feeling better and ready to face the cameras again. Despite not being able to attend the NTAs, Ruth made it clear that she was glad to be back and promised her fans that she would return to their screens at 7.00 pm.
