Ryan Connor struggles to cope with Crystal bombshell in Coronation Street

KEEN to find love after being rejected by Alya Nazir, Ryan Connor thought he’d found his other half in the form of Crystal.

However, the Coronation Street waiter figured out he was being catfished and finds it hard to take the news in next week.

Carla Connor (portrayed by Alison King) tries to lift Ryan’s spirits up in scenes airing next week on ITV.

The beloved character played by Ryan Prescott has been adapting to change in the aftermath of his acid attack and was left feeling lonely when former girlfriend Alya Nazir dashed all hopes of a reconciliation.

To make matters worse, his Ibiza love interest Crystal also gave up on him before jetting off to the island, leaving Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) to tell Ryan.

But as regular viewers of the long-running drama know, Daisy didn’t have the heart to tell Ryan he’d been rejected a second time and pretended to be Crystal to cheer him up.

This spiralled out of control when Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) found out what she was doing and urged her to tell the truth.

Unfortunately, Ryan found out Crystal wasn’t real before Daisy could come clean.

After realising he’s been catfished for weeks on end, Ryan struggles to wrap his head around the discovery and Carla orders him to get dressed to have lunch with her.

Carla then tells Daniel that Ryan hasn’t left the flat for a week, upset over the catfishing.

Daniel urges Daisy to pay Ryan a visit to help him and she masks her guilt.

This is due to the fact that Daisy is keeping another secret from Daniel.

Both characters were relieved when Justin Rutherford finally received comeuppance for his vile deeds.

But after a shock verdict, the pair met up behind the Rovers – where Daisy tried to kiss a shocked Ryan.

Could it all spiral out of control again for the barmaid?
