Dramatic Health Update
Presenter Rylan Clark, 34, has delivered a dramatic health update on his mum Linda after she was rushed to hospital in Marbella for emergency surgery. The 71-year-old suffered a horror fall during their trip, forcing Rylan to extend his stay and cancel his BBC Radio 2 show.
Positive Progress
In an Instagram post, Rylan shared some photos of his mum being wheeled onto a private jet via stretcher, along with a caption that bore good news. Despite Linda breaking her arm and leg, Rylan expressed gratitude to the team and surgeons at @helicopterossanitarios, who took care of his mum. He added that she is now coming home, jokingly remarking that she had cost him "an arm and a leg." In the comments, Rylan confirmed that Linda's sense of humor is still intact as she asked about getting a new driveway.
Health Complications
Rylan had previously described Linda as "not in the best of health" due to her other conditions, which complicated the surgery. However, he later shared a photo of Linda's hand and reassured fans that she had come out of surgery successfully. He thanked everyone for their lovely messages and expressed his priority of taking care of his mum.
A Long Battle
Linda has been battling Crohn's disease, an incurable condition, and has previously had to take time off from the show Celebrity Gogglebox. Rylan and Linda joined the show in 2019 and participated in two series before taking a break in 2021.
A Quick Recovery
Rylan ended his message by asking for prayers for a successful recovery and promising to update fans on Linda's progress as soon as he can. His heartfelt message was met with an outpouring of support from fans and well-wishers.
