The mum-of-one recently landed a permanent job hosting BBC News at One, following the show's move to the Manchester studio that also hosts BBC Breakfast.
Personal life update
Last year, Sally Nugent split from her businessman husband after 13 years together. Their home in Hale, Cheshire, was reportedly put up for sale in November.
