Comedian Stephen Merchant Takes a Dig at Simon Cowell
Stephen Merchant, the 49-year-old comedian, made a playful jab at Simon Cowell's appearance as he appeared as the guest announcer on Saturday Night Takeaway.
During the show, Merchant pretended to imitate Simon and humorously remarked, "I didn’t like it, I loved it. It’s my Cowell impression but it’s not very convincing because my face moved."
The audience and viewers were left surprised by his comment.
Simon Cowell's Reaction to Comments on His Appearance
Simon Cowell, known for being candid about cosmetic procedures, has openly discussed having Botox and fillers. He has addressed comments about his appearance by stating, "I think it's hysterical. I mean, it just makes me laugh — I haven’t had a facelift or anything."
Responding to rumors, Simon mentioned, "Over the years people have said that I’ve had everything done. But I don’t Google myself so I genuinely don’t have a clue what everyone is saying about me until we do things like BGT."
Undercover Prank on Simon Cowell
During the recent episode, Simon Cowell became the target of a prank on Saturday Night Takeaway for the second time. The first prank was back in 2003 when Ant and Dec tricked him on American Idol.
To celebrate the show's 20th series, the duo pulled off a prank on Simon during his bike ride and America's Got Talent filming. The elaborate prank involved a fake magician act locking Simon in a metal box on stage.
The reveal of Ant and Dec as the pranksters led to Simon jokingly threatening to "kill" them.
