3. Prince’s career is on the line
After DeMarcus and Leah snuck into Hollyoaks High School, ready to wreak some havoc, they set their sights to the caretaker’s closet where they found a stash of alcohol.
But their day of fun ended on a sour note as DeMarcus collapsed… and Prince’s job is in jeopardy.
The caretaker played by Malique Thompson-Dwyer is in the firing line and fails to understand why.
But Channel 4 viewers know who the true culprit is and he is awash with guilt over his cousin’s turmoil.
As he is faced with an ultimatum, will John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) ever come clean about his wrongdoing?
4. James is out of control
Speaking of another character needing to own up to their mistakes, James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) takes major risks this week as he continues to gamble his grief for Marnie away.
After another rejection from Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson), James heads to the casino alongside Luis, a sex worker who has also spent a night with John Paul.
But James soon panics as his luck turns bad and he bumps into a man who takes a liking to him. Is it for the right reasons?
Later on, Ste gives him a shoulder to cry on and James finally lets his guard down, pledging to change his ways and fight his addiction.
James promises to change, making a radical decision which puts all of his faith in Ste.
Is he too far gone?
5. DeMarcus and Leah get closer
Breaking into the school together only strengthened DeMarcus Westwood (Tomi Ade) and Leah Barnes’ (Elá-May Melek Demircan) bond.
While in detention, DeMarcus keeps a care package for his friend.
But when he teaches her how to box, Leah is overcome with embarrassment when her family’s dire financial situation is exposed in an embarrassing fashion.
Kind-hearted DeMarcus helps her diffuse the embarrassment with a heartfelt confession for Leah.
6. Cleo comes to the rescue
Leah is also offering support to teenaged Ella Richardson (Erin Palmer) as she slowly comes to terms with her pregnancy.
But she’s not the only one as Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) offers Ella a shoulder to cry and lean on when things get emotional.
Cleo breaks some shocking news to Charlie and tells him that Ella is considering other options for her baby.
However, the pregnancy is not going as expected.
7. Ella gets heart-breaking news
Leah and Cleo’s support is far from unwelcome.
Indeed, already put under pressure by the fact she is to become a mother at such a young age, Ella is also clashing with baby daddy Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan).
She isn’t impressed by his immature attitude when they both clash over the timing of the appointment for her first scan.
Ella is eventually pushed by Leah to give him an ultimatum.
But while Cleo is setting him straight Ella gets some devastating news.
