Shaun Wallace addresses rumours of being axed from The Chase

Fans concerned about the absence of 'the Dark Destroyer'

Fans of The Chase have been worried that Shaun Wallace was axed from the show after noticing that he has been absent from the game show for a while. The barrister, who goes by the nickname 'the Dark Destroyer' on the ITV show, explained that his other career has been responsible for his disappearance.

No plans to step back from the show

Shaun Wallace, one of the original Chasers on The Chase, made it clear that he has no plans to step back from the show despite juggling his legal career with filming requirements. He addressed the rumours of being sacked on The Hearing – A Legal Podcast, stating that his legal commitments sometimes take precedence over filming.

Balancing barrister work with TV commitments

Shaun, known for his encyclopaedic general knowledge, shared on Good Morning Britain that he sees his roles as a barrister and a Chaser on The Chase as equally important. He emphasized that he wants to be remembered as a barrister who happens to be on TV, rather than the other way around.
