BRITAIN’S Got Talent judge Simon Cowell has made a savage dig at the Spice Girls in a preview clip ahead of tonight’s show.
Simon, 62, questioned the famous pop group’s singing talents after watching the audition of Damenation, a group of singing drag queens decked out in colourful pantomime costumes.
Damenation is known for performing famous songs but reworking them, such as changing Raining Men to Raining Dames.
While his fellow judge David Walliams was in awe of the group, saying “I felt like I had died and gone to heaven,” Simon offered a rather unique style of feedback.
“It was like a Spice Girls reunion… just better singing,” he told the dames.
The record smashing Spice Girls was made up of of Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell.
Mel B worked with Simon previously on America’s Got Talent and The X-Factor.
She revealed how the girls tried to get Simon to sign them in the 90s by giving an impromptu audition in a car.

“Funny story…he was coming out of work and we kind of hijacked the car park that he was trying to get his car out of…and just sung for him,” Mel B said on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in 2019.
“We said ”Look we’re going to be famous one day, can you sign us?’ And he said ‘No it’s not going to work’.”
Simon’s Spice Girls jibe is not the only quirky moment fans can expect from tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent.
David dresses up as a giant golden buzzer and then Simon gives the comedian a cheeky whack on the head.
The hilarious moment kicks off when hosts Ant and Dec spot that the golden buzzer is missing.
Simon exclaims: “We need the golden buzzer.”
Equally as confused as the audience, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon scans the room for the buzzer.
But little do they know that funnyman David, 50, had planned an epic entrance dressed as the shiny button.
Wearing a gold tin foil cone around his waist, the star is gradually lowered from the ceiling on a rope.
He yells: “I’m right here.”
Carrying a confetti canon and high-kicking his way across the stage, David was thrilled to be the centre of attention.

David then demanded Simon to press the shiny buzzer attached to his head.
The music mogul happily obliged and gave David a light slap on the head.
