SIMON Cowell laughed as Amanda Holden gifted him stabilisers after he nearly died in a horrific bike crash.
It comes after the TV mogul, 62, was rushed to hospital following another terrifying e-bike smash.
Sources told The Celeb Report earlier this week that he’s lucky to be alive after he was propelled over the handlebars and onto the road at 20mph near his home in West London.
Earlier today Simon’s BGT co-star Amanda decided to get him something to make sure that he’s extra safe on the roads.
Amanda, 50, told her 1.8 million followers on Instagram: “So I bought @simoncowell some stabilisers,” and a laughing face emoji.
She added: “He loved them.”
The radio presenter revealed she made the cheeky purchase to prevent him from breaking any more bones during Thursday morning’s Heart Breakfast show.
Amanda told her co-host Ashley Roberts: “I’ve ordered him some stabilizers, I’m seeing him on Sunday, I’m going to give them to him. I’ll video it.”
On Tuesday a source told The Celeb Report: “Simon is lucky to be alive.
“He was pedalling along, with his electric motor on, when the wheels suddenly went from under him after hitting a wet patch.
“He slipped and went flying over the handlebars into the middle of the road.
“Stupidly, Simon wasn’t wearing a helmet, and blood was pouring from his face — he looked like something from Phantom of the Opera.
“Three kindly passers-by jumped into action, and stopped the traffic so he wouldn’t be run over.
“After being ambulanced to hospital and given an X-ray, Simon was eventually released that evening — his arm in a yellow cast all the way up to the shoulder — and told to rest.
“Despite this being his second great escape, Simon insists he’s not ditching the bike — but he will start wearing a helmet.”
Simon’s crash came last Thursday when he had finished filming the new series of Britain’s Got Talent, which hits our screens in April.
This isn’t the first time the star has been involved in a serious bike accident.
18 months ago the Britain’s Got Talent judge broke his back when he came off his e-bike in Los Angeles.
He was “very lucky” not to have suffered paralysing injuries.
After the accident, Simon told his Twitter followers: “Some good advice…
“If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time.
“I have broken part of my back. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages..”
