Star of Sweet Valley High looks unrecognisable 31 years later

From Teen Heartthrob to Successful Producer

The star of a hit 90’s teen drama, Michael Perl, known for his role in Sweet Valley High, looks completely different now, over three decades after the show first aired.

Teen Drama Days

Michael Perl gained fame for his role as Winston in the popular TV series Sweet Valley High, based on the Francine Pascal novels. The show, which aired from 1994 to 1997, followed the lives of twins Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield in the fictional town of Sweet Valley, California.

Transformation and Success

After the show ended, Michael pursued a degree in Theatre from UCLA and has since built a successful career in film, television, and Los Angeles theatre. He has appeared in various shows and films, including Bold and the Beautiful, Scandal, and Chuck, and has taken on lead roles in Bye Bye Bernard, Lena and the Snowball, and The Violin.

Behind the Scenes

Not only has Michael continued to thrive in the entertainment industry, but he has also co-founded a production company, Burton Street Productions, with his wife Melissa Lugo, who is also an actor and costume designer. Together, they have produced award-winning short films and web series.
