Strictly Come Dancing: Celebrity Alleges Partner Lied About Injury

Johnny Ball's Accusations

Strictly's most bitter row has been revealed as one celebrity, Johnny Ball, claimed that his professional partner, Aliona Vilani, lied about an injury and even threatened to sue him. Ball, 86, participated in the BBC show back in 2012 and was initially paired with Vilani.

Allegations and Denials

Aliona left the show early in the 10th series due to an injury, and Ball was then paired with Iveta Lukošiūtė. Johnny Ball accused Vilani of faking an injury, claiming she fell on a flat floor in flat shoes and then flew to the South of France for a weekend with her boyfriend. Vilani denied these claims and took legal action against Ball.

Controversy Continues

Aliona Vilani appeared on Strictly Come Dancing as a professional dancer from 2009 to 2015, winning the series with Jay McGuinness. Recent controversies have surrounded the show, including Graziano Di Prima being axed amid allegations of mistreatment towards his celeb partner, and allegations made by Amanda Abbington against her partner Giovanni Pernice.
