STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have been arguing about this year’s line-up after some insisted they’ve never heard of the stars.
EastEnders actor James Bye was yesterday revealed as the final name of the 15 dancers competing on the BBC show.
EastEnders’ James Bye was announced as part of the line-up yesterday
The show, fronted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, returns this autumn
One fan suggested it was the “the worst line up ever” – though many instantly pushed back at that claim.
Several dismissed the critics as “moaners” for complaining just because they didn’t know who some Strictly Come Dancing stars were.
One tweeted: “To the people who say they won’t watch because they don’t know the celebrities.
“Genuine question. If a new show was on tv and you didn’t know the actors, would you not watch it??
“I’m finding these remarks pathetic. Don’t watch it the show will survive with you. Bye.”

Another posted: “Why do people think they have to know every celebrity that there is?
“I don’t watch Eastenders so I don’t know who @jimmybye is, but doesn’t mean to say I won’t watch.
“By watching I’ll get to know who he is so just shut up the moaning and watch something else if you’re not happy.”
Another insisted the joy of the show was getting to know the contestants, writing: “I bloody love SCD.
“After two weeks I don’t care what their background is. It’s just a marvellous escape and while we can just afford to have the telly on I’ll enjoy it!!”
One other laughed: “I can’t understand why people say the people chosen for #strictly aren’t celebrities just because they haven’t heard of them!
.”
Some people have criticised the line-up’s range of stars from the BBC, who make Strictly.
One wrote: “I feel like the producers sometimes just go to the BBC canteen and force anyone who doesn’t run away fast enough to do strictly.”
Stars this year include Countryfile‘s Helen Skelton, football legend Tony Adams, Fleur East, Bros legend Matt Goss, comedian Ellie Taylor and Loose Women’s Kaye Adams.
Coronation Street favourites Will Mellor and Kym Marsh will also take to the dance floor this year.
