Strictly Come Dancing fans are convinced they have figured out the 'real reason' why pro dancer Kai Widdrington didn't get a celebrity partner this series. Despite making it to Blackpool last year with TV legend Angela Rippon, Kai has been benched this time around. Fans have taken to internet forums to discuss this omission and believe it may have something to do with fellow pro Neil Jones.
Neil Jones' Role
Neil Jones, known for not always getting a celebrity partner, was joked about on the last night's launch show. Fans speculate that Kai was moved aside this year so Neil could get a partner, especially considering that at 41 years old, this could potentially be Neil's last series on the show.
Kai's Response
Kai expressed his disappointment regarding the 'snub' and mentioned his hopes for getting a partner in the future. While Kai has not missed out on a partner before, his ex-girlfriend and fellow show pro Nadiya Bychkova was benched last year but partnered with Olympian Tom Dean on the latest episode.
