And the panel of judges have returned too, with Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke at the ready to hold up their scores.

Last night, fifteen celebs took to the dance floor tonight for the first episode of the series but some viewers were left fuming over a number of ‘random’ scores.

Viewers felt that while some people were over marked, others were under scored – like Fleur East – and they demanded to know what was going on.

Of course, all of these people need to be paid for their time – and some of them do VERY well out of being on the show.

Here, we take a look at how much the judges are paid for appearing on the hit show.

Motsi Mabuse

New recruit Motsi was offered a starting salary of £200,000 when she joined the Strictly judging panel in 2019.

But the German dance school she runs with husband Evgenij Voznyuk also brings in more income for her, and she’s the ambassador for the German Weight Watchers.

Craig Revel Horwood

Craig has been on the show since it started.

This means he can command a decent salary.

The 57-year-old has previously been reported to have had a salary of £110,000 when he first began in 2004.

His salary then shot up to £200,000 in 2020, to match Motsi Mabuse.

Shirley Ballas

Head judge Shirley began on £180k when she joined the show in 2017.

Since then she has negotiated a pay rise, bringing her Strictly salary up to £500,000 per series.

The star has an additional salary from other projects, with her income also coming from teaching at a dance school in Streatham, South London, and she earns money from panto.

Anton Du Beke

Anton du Beke has trebled his wage after replacing Bruno Tonioli on the show’s judging panel.

The Celeb Report understands Anton, 56, bags between £175,000 and £200,000.
