Strictly Curse? Not a Concern at All!
Krishnan Guru-Murthy, the beloved Channel 4 News host, is set to compete in this year's season of Strictly Come Dancing. Despite the infamous "Strictly curse" that has affected past contestants' relationships, Krishnan's wife, Lisa, fully supports his participation and has no concerns about the future of their marriage.
No Worries Due to Age Difference
At 53 years old, Krishnan is confident that he won't fall victim to the so-called curse. He dismisses the rumors with a laugh, saying, "It's all nonsense, especially for people at my age. I'm very happily married and old enough to be the father of most of the dancers."
Family Dynamics
While Lisa and their daughter eagerly await Krishnan's fancy footwork on the dance floor, his teenage son isn't quite as excited. In fact, he is mortified by the idea of seeing his dad dance on TV and may not even watch his performances. Krishnan assures that his son is showing little enthusiasm at the moment.
A Change of Heart
So why did Krishnan ultimately decide to take a leap into the world of light entertainment? He explains, "Traditionally I’ve always thought Strictly is one of the last things I’d ever do. But this year I just felt differently about it and said, 'You know what? I think I want to do this now. It feels like the right time'."
Playing it Safe
Despite having a heart condition, Krishnan is confident that it won't hinder his participation on the show. He plans to listen to his body and take the necessary breaks to rest. The routines are relatively short, lasting between 90 seconds to two minutes. Krishnan's doctor has reassured him that participating in the show is a good way to exercise, lose weight, and enjoy himself without worrying about his condition.
With Krishnan Guru-Murthy ready to hit the dance floor, we can't wait to see his moves and cheer him on in this year's Strictly Come Dancing!
