Jody Cundy's Uncertain Future on the Dance Floor
This week, Strictly Come Dancing star Jody Cundy was rushed to the hospital after a terrifying health scare. The 44-year-old Paralympian, who is partnered with Jowita Przystal, has been unable to rehearse for days, leaving his appearance in the live show this weekend in doubt.
A Frightening Discovery
Jody, who had a leg amputated when he was three, woke up in the middle of the night to find his leg swollen and infected. Concerned for his health, he quickly sought medical attention.
Antibiotics and Swollen Limbs
After rushing to the hospital, Jody was given antibiotics to address the infection. However, due to the swelling, he has been unable to wear his prosthetic legs.
On the Road to Recovery
Speaking on It Takes Two about his ordeal, Jody shared that his leg is healing and getting better. Although the swelling has reduced slightly, it is still uncertain if he will be able to perform with Jowita this weekend.
Hoping for a Comeback
Despite the setback, Jody expressed his hope to be back on the dance floor for the next show. Last week, he and Jowita received praise for their elegant quickstep performance, earning 21 points from the judges.
Shirley Ballas even commended Jody for having the "best frame" among the contestants so far.
