Strictly Come Dancing Star Will Young Hints at Possible Return to Show

Will Young has opened up about his departure from Strictly Come Dancing back in 2016, revealing that he was forced to quit the show due to experiencing panic attacks. The singer was paired with Karen Clifton on the BBC One competition before leaving the ballroom unexpectedly.

Struggles with Panic Attacks

During an appearance on The One Show, Will, 45, shared that he had been dealing with panic attacks "24 hours a day" which led to his decision to leave the show. Despite his love for dancing and excitement about participating, his mental health struggles made it impossible for him to continue.

Desire for a Comeback

Although Will had to step away from Strictly Come Dancing due to his health issues, he has expressed interest in returning to the show under one condition - dancing with a male partner. This option was not available during his previous stint on the competition.

Rise to Fame

Will Young rose to fame in 2001 when he competed on the TV show Pop Idol, where he clashed with Simon Cowell but ultimately won the competition. He has since continued to pursue his music career and is set to release a new single, Falling Deep, along with a new show called Light It Up later this year.
