THE Strictly curse struck again as newcomer Kai Widdrington split from his long-term dancer girlfriend Giulia Dotta.
BBC announced that Kai is one of the four new dancers joining the 2021 Strictly Come Dancing cast of professional dancers.
However, Kai split from his dancer girlfriend Guilia before making his debut.
A spokesperson for Giulia confirmed to The Mirror that they went their separate ways.
The pair worked on Ireland’s Dancing With The Stars together which has run for four series.
The couple’s friends thought Kai and Giulia would eventually get married and have children.
Kai is now living with Strictly hunk Giovanni Pernice, who has recently been linked to Love Island ‘s Maura Higgins.
Kai won World Junior Latin American champion at aged 14.
He appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2012 aged 16 and made it to the final.
Talking about joining this year’s Strictly cast, Kai said: “This is my childhood dream come true.
“Watching Strictly from the very first series as a young boy from Southampton and now 18 years later, to be a professional dancer on the show is the most amazing feeling and the biggest accomplishment of my career.
“I can’t wait to step onto the Strictly floor and experience the exciting times that lie ahead.”
The other three professional dancers joining the BBC show are Jowita Przystal, Nikita Kuzmin and Cameron Lombard.
