STRICTLY Come Dancing fans are all saying the same thing after Danny Dyer’s bizarre, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance in last night’s show, but did you spot it?
Eagle-eyed viewers were baffled when the cameras cut to the EastEnders‘ hardman standing up and clapping after Tilly Ramsay’s performance with pro partner Nikita.
After her impressive routine, the 44-year-old actor was spotted on his feet as he appeared to be in the audience on his own.
He was no doubt at the studio to support Rose Ayling-Ellis, who plays his onscreen daughter in the BBC One soap and had performed just before Tilly.
So it is unclear as to why the cameras only showed him for the influencer, and not for his co-star.
As if that wasn’t confusing enough, fans at home were all distracted by his “lurking” cameo, drawing attention to his stony-face and no-nonsense demeanour as they compared him to a mafia boss and security.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer quipped: “Why did #Strictly just cut to Danny Dyer looking on like a mafia boss?”
Another wrote: “Absolutely howling at the random shot of Danny Dyer apparently looming in the rafters on #Strictly like the Phantom of the Opera.”
A third agreed: “Why is Danny Dyer just lurking in the background like a bouncer “
One more echoed: “Why’s Danny Dyer just glaring in the corner?”
Others asked if he’d been shown for Tilly in error, writing: “Why are they cutting to Danny Dyer for Tilly but not his onscreen daughter?!”
A second shared: “Love how Danny Dyer is there for Rose but they only show him on camera after Tilly’s dance.”
Tilly previously had her famous chef dad Gordon in the crowd to support her, with the star tickling viewers when he broke down in tears.
However, he missed last night’s show – but she did say that her mum Tana was there instead.
Meanwhile, Rose has played Danny’s daughter Frankie in EastEnders since last year.
