The pair performed on last night’s Comic Relief telethon

Rose, 27 and her dance partner Giovanni, 31, performed a waltz along to Ellie Goulding’s How Long Will I Love You, a routine previously danced to on Strictly.

The duo returned to the ballroom for the first time since the Strictly arena tour to help raise money for those most vulnerable in the UK and beyond (including Ukraine).

BBC viewers were blown away by the performance, with many fans calling it “beautiful”.

Taking to Twitter this fan wrote: “Rose and Giovanni beautiful and graceful dancing!”

While another tweeted: “It’s so good to see Rose and Giovanni dance again. The best couple Strictly have ever had!”

A third said: “Giovanni and Rose you still reduce me to tears when you dance together.”

Speaking to Comic Relief host Lenny Henry after the dance, Rose said “It’s really nice to dance together again.

“We went through a really special journey. Every time we pair up, it brings back happy memories. We really enjoy dancing together.”

Rose and Giovanni won the hearts of the nation when they appeared on Strictly in 2021.

Their popularity helped them win the Glitterball Trophy.

Earlier this year, the pair told The Celeb Report what the secret to becoming champions was.

Speaking at the launch of the Strictly tour, the dancers explained they had a winning combination of a “special connection” and not feeling under pressure to be the best.

Giovanni told The Celeb Report: “It’s more about the connection. It’s been good from day one.

“We understood each other. We didn’t have much pressure about winning the show.

“And I was more relaxed into the teaching this year.

“We really work well together, we have a fantastic connection. We respect each other.”

Rose added: “It’s about good communication and having fun, that’s what makes such a good partnership and why we get on really well.”
