They got a near-perfect score of 37 out of 40.
But singer Fleur East, 35, and pro partner Vito Coppola, 30, did even better.
Their samba to Hot Hot Hot by Arrow was given a total of 39.
Head judge Shirley Ballas said: “One of the best dances ever.”
TV presenter Kym Marsh, 46, got up close with partner Graziano Di Prima, 28, for an American smooth to Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars, earning them a 31 score.
Judge Anton Du Beke said: “It was beautiful and it’s hard to dance something that has so much emotion.”
But a jive by ex-footie star Tony Adams, 56, was “a disaster”, judge Craig Revel Horwood said.
