Strictly in ‘fix’ row as Nina Wadia goes home despite Katie McGlynn’s training issues

STRICTLY Come Dancing has been plunged into a ‘fix’ row as Nina Wadia was sent home despite Katie McGlynn’s training issues.

Furious fans took to Twitter to complain after judges made the shock decision to send the EastEnders actress home during Sunday night’s show.

Nina and Neil were the first couple voted off the show

Nina became the first celebrity to be eliminated from Strictly, and viewers were not happy.

The memes came thick and fast as soon as the show ended and Nina lost the dance-off to Hollyoaks Katie.

One person wrote: “Strictly fix! Nina performed much better than Katie, genuinely think the wrong couple went home.”

A second wrote: “Were we watching the same dance-off? How did most of the judges think Katie did better than Nina there?”

A third added: “Tonight’s dance off was a fix.”

Another said: “Was I watching a completely different dance-off???Clearly Nina was better.”

Meanwhile viewers took to social media to point out “tension” between Katie, 28, and Gorka, 31, after their ‘training issues.‘

Fans noted that Spanish star Gorka looked glum in posts made by the soap actress before the live show as they prepared for their second dance.

It came after the pair appeared to have disagreed over the amount of time that Hollyoaks star Katie spent rehearsing as she skipped dancing for filming.

She was spotted in Liverpool filming for Hollyoaks as Gorka snided ahead of their dance that they had “no hours to train”.

“If you achieve what you do with no experience and no hours to train, I can’t wait to see the rest,” the professional dancer told her last week.

Despite their jive wowing the judges, fans couldn’t help but notice how the tension continued after their second dance.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One on Saturday at 6.45pm.
