Strictly in new row as Adam Peaty’s mum says the show is FIXED and ‘doesn’t buy the public vote’

STRICTLY Come Dancing faces a new row as Adam Peaty’s mum has slammed the show as FIXED as she admits she “doesn’t buy the public vote”.

Caroline Peaty took to Twitter to share her outrage at son Adam, 26, being voted out of the BBC One ballroom competition over the weekend.

Olympic swimmer Adam and his professional dance partner Katya Jones found themselves in the dance off on Sunday night.

After competing against Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin to stay, the gold medallist was sent home by the judging panel.

Shortly after the show, Adam’s mum Caroline took to Twitter to call the show a FIX – and heap praise on her son and pro partner Kayta, 32.

Admitting she was “proud” of the pair, she wrote: “Such an amazing partnership and Katya you have taught my baby boy to dance, thank you.”

“Total fix and I’m not buying the public vote,” she scathingly added, nodding towards Adam’s disappointing score of 27 on Saturday night.

Fans took to the comments to agree with Caroline, including Katya, who insisted her partner was “a dancer inside” in a gushing post.

“He is definitely a dancer inside and I’ve seen it with my eyes! What a privilege it’s been for me,” the choreographer added.

“No way did they deserve to go out this week,” one fan agreed, as a second chimed in: “It’s always a shame when a couple leave before their time.”

Following a disappointing score for their jive to Little Bitty Pretty One by Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers, the public vote also didn’t swing in their favour.

Katya was seen breaking down in tears after the tense dance off, which saw Adam eliminated from the show on Sunday evening.

Adam told the audience: “I have absolutely loved every single challenge. I’ve never had a challenge like this. As an Olympian for 16 years, I’ve pushed my body to places I never thought they’d be pushed.

“I’ve so much respect for dancers across the world. It’s just a great, great experience.”

A teary Katya said: “I was not ready to be in this position today. What was really nice after the dance floor is I looked at him and he had tears in his eyes.”

Judge Craig Revel Horwood said he wouldn’t have put either act in the bottom two and saved Tilly, while Motsi Mabuse agreed Tilly was more in tune with the music.

Anton Du Beke called it a “great dance-off” and saved Tilly too, but Shirley Ballas said she would have chosen Adam had her vote been needed.

The pair looked downcast after learning their fate on Saturday night.

Their routine, which was set in an American diner, failed to impress the judges, who gave them just 27 points.
