Strictly Judge Motsi Mabuse's Lawyers Claim Ex is Motivated by Money in Control Claims

Jealous Ex Wants a Piece of the Pie

Lawyers representing Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse will argue that her ex-husband is only fighting the claims that he controlled her in order to get his hands on some of her £200,000 Strictly salary, according to sources in Germany. The ex-husband, Timo Kulczak, is suing Mabuse for £70,000 over allegations made in her autobiography that he restricted her access to cash and controlled her diet, claims which he denies.

Confidence in Court

Mabuse's legal team is reportedly confident that the media attention surrounding the case will work in their favor. They believe that the evidence presented in the media will support their argument, and their main concern is whether Kulczak will be able to cover their legal fees if he loses the case.

Upcoming Hearing

The hearing is scheduled to take place in January in Germany, where Kulczak resides. Mabuse's lawyers have applied for a court order to make her attendance at the hearing compulsory.

Previous Threats

Earlier, Kulczak's lawyers had requested that the German court in Offenburg sentence Mabuse to up to six months in jail or a fine of £250,000 if she ever repeated the claims made in her book.

Lawyer's Response

Timo's lawyer, Samy Hammad, expressed surprise at the suggestion that money is the motivation behind the case. Hammad believes that the £70,000 being sought by Kulczak is an appropriate amount considering the claims made in Mabuse's book and in the German press.
