Strictly Legend Len Goodman to be Honored with Interactive Art Installation in Hometown

Remembering a Dance Icon

Plans are underway in Len Goodman's hometown to create an interactive art installation in his memory after his passing at the age of 78 last April. The legendary Strictly Come Dancing judge will be immortalized with a tribute that celebrates his love for dance and his loyalty to Dartford, where he opened an academy in the 1970s.

Community Tribute

The council in Dartford, Kent, is seeking artists to design the installation, which will be placed in the town center. The goal is to create a piece that not only honors Len Goodman but also inspires visitors and enriches the local community. A budget of £25,000 has been allocated for this project.

Family and Council Statements

Len Goodman's son, James Goodman, expressed that his father always spoke fondly of the area, making this tribute a fitting way to honor his legacy. A spokesperson for Dartford council emphasized the importance of recognizing Len's contributions and the impact he had on many lives through his work.

A Dance Legacy

Len Goodman served as the head judge on Strictly Come Dancing from its inception in 2004 until 2016, as well as on Dancing with the Stars from 2005 to 2022. His dedication to the world of dance and his role as a beloved TV personality have left a lasting impression on audiences worldwide.
