STRICTLY Come Dancing is under threat as the next series clashes with the World Cup 2022.
BBC bosses face the prospect of the football causing chaos with the schedule after the tournament was moved.
For the first time ever, the World Cup starts on November 21, with evening weekend games up until December 10.
It’s to avoid the 45c heat from the host nation Qatar’s summer sun.
But it means some England games and other fixtures will kick off at 6pm or 7pm UK time on three Saturdays and two Sundays.
It could even mean Strictly will have to be taken off air because coverage is on the BBC as well as ITV.

TV bosses will now be working out how best to handle the schedule clash.
One option could be to move Strictly to a Friday night for the first time in its history.
Or the show could be played out on BBC Two.
Strictly bosses could even opt to air Strictly after the watershed – despite it being a family-friendly show.
ITV is facing the same problem with its popular show I’m A Celebrity.
The Celeb Report revealed last week that its start date will be brought forward by weeks to avoid clashing with the World Cup.
