Strictly Star Explores the World in Adventurous New Channel 5 Show

Step off the dance floor and into the world of archaeology as Dan Snow embarks on an exciting new adventure to uncover some of the greatest historical finds in the world. The broadcaster, who will also be appearing in the Strictly Come Dancing festive special on Christmas Day, will take viewers on a journey to iconic sites such as Stonehenge, Atlantis, the Terracotta Army, and Machu Picchu in the upcoming second series of The Discovery with Dan Snow.

Diving into History

In each of the four 90-minute episodes, Dan Snow will immerse himself in the captivating stories surrounding these incredible archaeological discoveries. He will even go as far as diving underwater to explore the mythical city of Atlantis in one of the episodes. The series, set to air next year on Channel 5, will offer a unique perspective on the lives and cultures of ancient civilizations.

Unearthing the Past

The second series of The Discovery with Dan Snow will not only focus on the famous sites themselves, but will also delve into the historical context of their creation. Viewers will get a glimpse into what life was like in Peru and during the construction of Stonehenge in the Iron Age. Through his exploration, Snow aims to uncover the fascinating stories of these ancient civilizations and their remarkable achievements.

A Dream Come True

Reflecting on his experience, Dan Snow expressed his gratitude for being able to visit the sites he had dreamed about as a child. He said, "I didn't just explore them, but also their stories of discovery. It's been a once-in-a-lifetime experience." Snow's passion for history and his ability to bring these stories to life promise to make the upcoming series an exciting and educational journey for viewers.

Last month, Dan Snow made headlines when he criticized Ridley Scott's blockbuster film Napoleon for its historical inaccuracies. The veteran director responded by telling Snow to "get a life." Snow had pointed out that Napoleon did not fight at the pyramids and did not witness Marie Antoinette's execution, among other inaccuracies in the film. Snow's attention to detail and commitment to historical accuracy are evident in his work as a presenter and historian.
