Strictly’s Dianne Buswell breaks silence on ‘split’ with boyfriend Joe Sugg

STRICTLY professional dancer Dianne Buswell has broken her silence on fears she’s split with her boyfriend Joe Sugg.

The 33-year-old Australian worried fans when she flew back to her homeland for Christmas – without her partner of four years.

She’s paired up with her series partner Tyler West

The pair – who met when they danced together on the 2018 series of Strictly – haven’t been pictured together on social media for 11 weeks.

Joe has since been seen on holiday solo with pals, while Dianne prepares to kick off the Strictly Live Tour in Birmingham tonight.

Asked about fans worrying they’ve split, Dianne said: “It comes from a good place, but I go home and see my family and don’t even worry about anything that’s being said.

“I try not to look because it’s very rare I get to see my family so I want to go and make the most of it and that’s what I did.”

Insisting he’ll be supporting her on the tour, Dianne said: “Joe’s coming to a few of the shows, but he’s really busy with work as well doing all his stuff.

“Whenever he can he’ll come to watch.”

Dianne is reuniting with her Strictly series partner Tyler West to perform on a three-week UK tour.

This year’s star-studded full line-up includes Strictly champion Hamza Yassin and partner Jowita Przystal, Fleur East dancing with Vito Coppola, Will Mellor and Nancy Xu, Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu, Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin, Tyler West and Dianne Buswell.

They’ll be critiqued by head judge Shirley Ballas and tour director Craig Revel Horwood alongside Anton Du Beke – who joins the panel for the first time on the tour’s 20th anniversary.

Although the judges will be there to give their hot take on the performances, it’s the fans who have the power to decide who wins the Glitterball Trophy at the end of each show. The audience will vote via text for their favourite couple – meaning reigning 2022 champion Hamza risks being beaten by his co-stars.

The Strictly Live Tour launches on January 20 at the Utilita Arena Birmingham before waltzing around the UK to Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena, Leeds’ First Direct Arena, the AO Arena Manchester, Sheffield’s Utilita Arena, Newcastle’s Utilita Arena,  London’s O2 Arena, the SSE Arena Belfast, before ending the run at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on February 12.

And in a bid to honour 2021 winner Rose Ayling-Ellis’ legacy, a British Sign Language interpreter will be displayed on two very large screens either side of the stage so that deaf fans can book tickets and sit almost  anywhere in the arena to enjoy the experience with family and friends.
